My husband, Vince, and I have always wanted to own a business. Our love of horses and desire to provide a customer-friendly service to the horse-owning community led us to open our Smithfield, Virginia tack shop in November 2006.

After 6 months in business, we were voted Entrepreneur Of The Year for all of Isle of Wight County by the Department of Economic Development.  What an achievement for a new store!  The many testimonials of our customers set us apart from the other businesses in the County.

We are members of the Equine Task Force of Isle of Wight County.  The mission of this group is to promote horses and the horse industry in Isle of Wight County.  If you have any suggestions, please e-mail us.  We would love to hear from you.

As our customers know, we always go out of our way to locate that special item you are looking for.  We place orders weekly and can accommodate any order and will locate the best price.  We currently work with over 100 vendors with everything from bandaides to saddles.  We are confident we can get you the best price and any item you are in need of.

So stop on by and browse our family owned and operated store.  We have all your needs covered from birthday party supplies, jewelry, purses, treats, stocking stuffers, party goodies, mugs, t-shirts, sweatshirts, Painted Ponies (the largest selection in the area), back packs, lunchboxes, hats, Breyer Horses (we are the area's only Silver Dealer), saddles, tack, supplements, Purina Feed (dog, cat, goat, alpaca, chicken and horse), orchard grass hay (our current hay is from Pennsylvania), and even horse underwear! We have it all - English, Western and Dressage.  We specialize in trail riding items.

We offer a message board for equine services, sales and events.  We are the clearing house for all events equine in Isle of Wight.  We specialize in carrying the art of local artists with an equine theme.  We are the only tack shop in the area which carries a full line of "gently used" riding clothing. Select from britches, boots, shirts, chaps, jackets and coats.  All riding disciplines.  We currently have shadbellys and huntseat clothing too.

Watch for our annual customer appreciation events:  We celebrate our store Anniversary every October and we have a Spring Extravaganza in April.  This is our way to say "Thank You" to our customers.  There are lectures on horse topics, Breyer Fun Day, local vendors, food, pony rides/petting zoos, and lots of free stuff!

Some of our customers have asked why we are not open 7 days a week.  We choose to honor our God and Family by setting aside Sunday for this purpose.  Our values and family are important to us and we did not see it necessary to compromise those to earn an extra dollar.
